Our fitting service
When you first come to see us we carry out a complete contact lens assessment, which involves things like checking the health of the eye’s surface and measuring the curvature of the eye to make sure you are a suitable candidate for lenses. We also talk to you about what you want to use your lenses for, whether it’s for general day-to-day wear or perhaps for a particular kind of sport or occupation.
If you haven’t had a full eye examination within the past twelve to eighteen months, we will make a separate appointment for you to have one of those as well.
Having thoroughly examined you, we will then put some contact lenses in your eyes to assess how you react to them. Once we are satisfied that there are no problems, you are more or less ready to go. We have plenty of lenses in stock so you may well be able to take your new lenses away with you. If we have to order them, they will only take a few days to arrive.
However, we are not going to let you walk away with your new lenses just like that. We will teach you how to put them in and take them out. In fact, we won’t let you leave until we are certain that you can do it properly. We will also show you how to use the solutions correctly and to take good care of your lenses. We want to make sure that as a contact lens wearer, you feel comfortable, confident and healthy.
